Vicky On Maternity Leave
Congratulations to our perms, accountancy support consultant Vicky Gold who has recently gone on maternity leave following the arrival of gorgeous baby George! Mother and baby are doing well! In her absence Vicky's desk is being covered by Chloe McIntosh. You may know of Chloe from her background with Robert Half International where she recruited within the Finance and Accounting sector since 2005. Chloe is looking forward to continuing to work with the companies and exceptional candidates in the Gloucestershire area.

New Website Coming Soon!
In collaboration with Absolute Creative Marketing Bruckshaws are very excited to be launching a new website very soon. We hope this new venture will be a helpful tool for both our candidates and clients, especially as it is being formed with their suggestions in mind. Watch this space!
2009 Sales Conference
2009 ended with cocktail celebrations in Brasserie Blanc and a very delicious meal at Montpellier Wine Bar. The Bruckshaw consultants glammed themselves up and looked to congratulate getting through a tough year in the industry. Following the hard work of 2009 and the solid foundations that continued to be laid we are now very excited for all that 2010 has to bring. Plans so far include Bruckshaw’s 10th year of business and a new website launch.

Bruckshaw’s Festive Evening
The mulled wine flowed and the mince pies disappeared as Bruckshaw Associates hosted their festive evening in aid of the Blue Sky Foundation. Over forty female clients were invited to Eagle Tower where they were treated to a variety of indulgences including massages and product introductions from Neal’s Yard, image consultancy with Colour Me Beautiful, original artwork from Trudi Hayden, gorgeous jewellery from the KateMichelle collection and beautiful felt gifts from Felt So Good, to name a few! The Christmas hamper raffle was won by Sarah Lane from Capita. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and feedback from the clients seems to agree!

On Thursday 26th November Bruckshaws will be hosting a festive client event. The evening will include Neal's Yard mini treatments, an image consultant, jewellery stores, felt goodies, cards, festive nibbles and mulled wine! Watch this space for photos of the evening!

2009 WESCA Dinner
Several consultants from Bruckshaw Associates dressed in their finery to attend the 2009 West of England Society of Chartered Accountants ( WESCA ) annual dinner held recently at the Chase Hotel.

Good food, good wine and charming company ensured the evening was great fun and was further enhanced by the excellent after-dinner speaker, Mr John Simonett.

2008 Sales Conference - Trip to Edinburgh
Max and Jen treated the team to a festive indulgence with a fabulous trip to beautiful Edinburgh. The fun packed 30 hours included an open top bus tour, castle visit, German market, pub, food, drink and very little sleep – all the ingredients for a brilliant Christmas party!
It was topped off with an unforgettable candle lit dinner at celeb haunt The Witchery By The Castle. A really wonderful way to finish and celebrate an impressive year for Bruckshaws.

Cheltenham Gold Cup 2008
Having enjoyed a great start to 2008 Bruckshaws took everybody to Cheltenham Racecourse on Gold Cup day to celebrate an excellent first quarter.
A big thank-you must go out to Denman. Romping home in the feature race guaranteed smiley faces all day!

The Bruckshaws team enjoying a spot of Sea Kayaking along the beautiful Isle of Man Coastline
Bruckshaw Associates have had another terrific year during 2007 and once again broke all records in growing 75% year on year. As ever Max and Jenny wanted to say a great big thank you to all the team that helped achieve such great results and this year decided on something different!!
Taking advantage of Manx2 flights from Staverton we found ourselves kayaking and coasteering for the day on the Isle of Man instead of interviewing and canvassing in Eagle Tower!! When the most you normally do for a work colleague is make them a cup of tea and then you suddenly have to help them scramble onto a twenty foot rock to escape crashing waves you share a real spirit of adventure! A great evening followed at the Hilton in Douglas with a fantastic meal, a bouncing night club and a somewhat surprisingly generous casino.
Temps Manager, Clare Shearer & Recruitment Consultant, Vicky Gold prepare for their Sea Kayaking experience
Exciting plans for next year include extending our suite of offices in the Tower, further staff recruitment into the Temporaries Team and an even better Christmas Sales Conference in 2008 where we hope to celebrate our confirmed status as "Gloucestershire's Leading Accountancy recruitment firm.
Recruitment Consultant, Rob Connolly conquering the waves

I DID IT!!! Not with much style and not with a good time, but I did run the London Marathon in 5 hrs 31 minutes!! What a long way and what an incredibly hot day! It was an incredible experience and one I wouldn't have missed for anything. The crowds were fabulous, spraying us with water pistols and sprinklers and feeding us jelly babies when we looked about to drop. An enormous thank you to Max who staggered round manically busy tube stations with 2 hot crotchety kids to see me a couple of the times on the route and spur me on enormously. Seeing them for the last time at 25 miles was an incredible feeling and Skye hopped over the barrier and ran 50 metres with her exhausted mum - not something I will never forget! Thank you to a lovely lady called Michelle who ran a lot of the way with me and kept me laughing and fed me energy bars when she thought I needed a boost.
And thank you to you, my family, friends and colleagues, who believed I could rise to the challenge and bouyed me up with such support and good wishes on the day. I have raised £1600 in total for seriously ill kids and I am so pleased. Thank you to everyone, there are a few people who still need to send their monies through so if you could do it in the next week or so that would be fab, either on-line, or cheques to me at home.
On April 22 I thought never again, but a couple of weeks later, you never know! I really would like to beat that 5 hr mark!!
Much love and thanks
Jenxx

Ready to go up, up and away
Following the Christmas office move into Eagle Tower, Bruckshaw Associates have had a very successful first quarter to 2007 with all targets exceeded for all staff despite the upheaval of moving from Imperial Square. As a gesture of thanks everybody was treated to a slap-up lunch and an exciting helicopter flight around Gloucestershire. Several staff wished they'd not eaten so well as the Helicopter pilots enjoyed scaring the daylights out of recruitment consultants!
